3. HCL Technologies

Founded by Shiv Nadar in 1976, HCL Enterprise (HCL) was a pioneer of the Indian computer industry at
a time when the country had only 250 computers. A small team of eight technologists led by Nadar at HCL had developed the first indigenous computer chip in 1978, roughly at the same time as Apple Computers, and about three years before IBM.
